Mark W. Bomster was a deputy managing editor for Education Week overseeing coverage of politics, education policy, school law, and school finance. Before joining Education Week in 2006, he was a reporter and editor at The Baltimore Sun and The Evening Sun for more than 20 years, covering business, transportation, education, and state politics, as well as supervising state and local coverage. As a business journalist in Washington, D.C., prior to that, he covered the energy industry, regulatory affairs, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
